Joyce Mulders

Joyce Mulders is a driven and purpose-led professional with a background in Modern Sciences and a specialization in Business Economy & Marketing.

Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, she was shaped from an early age by a strong work ethic, leadership, and a deep sense of responsibility toward others.

Her upbringing was further influenced by her godfather, a respected executive for more then 25 years at DSM, who was honored as a Knight of the Order of Orange-Nassau for his professional achievements and his unwavering commitment to community service,  from supporting local youth football clubs to contributing to municipal initiatives. This example of combining business success with social impact became a guiding principle in Joyce’s life.

From a young age, Joyce demonstrated a natural inclination toward giving back. She would often give away her own pocket money to support homeless individuals, a small but powerful reflection of the compassion that would later define her path.

At the age of 23, Joyce traveled to Tanzania, where she spent six months actively supporting young women through education on sexual health and the distribution of contraceptives. During this period, she also built a lasting connection with Isaac John in Arusha, where she continues to support the Fruitful Orphanage to this day.

Shortly after, Joyce moved to South Africa, where she developed a deep connection with the country and its people, a place that would remain close to her heart and central to her mission.

In 2012, through her faith and shared spiritual journey, Joyce met Naomi Schrijver-Zrif. Their connection led to a long-term partnership rooted in purpose. When Naomi relocated to South Africa in 2017 with her family, Joyce became closely involved in supporting and helping grow what would become a vital community organization.

Together, they contributed to the development of Higher Call Helping Hands, an NGO and registered PBO that has grown into a crucial pillar of support within the Walmer Township in Port Elizabeth. The organization provides essential aid to vulnerable families, children, and orphans, ranging from food programs and education to trauma support and community development. Joyce has also started a kindergarten project with a local mama at the Motherwell Township.

Joyce’s impact extends beyond South Africa. Through her connection with Marloes and Sam, founders of City of Grace in India, she wants to support initiatives focused on rescuing girls and young women from human trafficking, offering them psychological care, education, and a pathway to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Throughout her journey, Joyce has been a connector — > bringing together people, resources, and opportunities across continents. She believes that these encounters are not coincidental, but part of a greater calling.

With a strong foundation in business and a heart deeply rooted in service, Joyce continues to build bridges between the corporate world and social impact initiatives. Her mission is clear: to create scalable, meaningful change by combining strategy, compassion, and faith.

Joyce Mulders stands as a testament to the belief that true success is not only measured by professional achievements, but by the lives we uplift along the way.
